General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) - PRIVACY POLICY of the South Cheshire Collectors Car Club (SCCCC or Club)

This Privacy Policy sets out how the SCCCC uses and protects any information that you give to us when you join the Club.

The SCCCC is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

When you join SCCCC we record your details to ensure that we can for example:

Social Media

When you participate in various social media forums like Facebook, you should be familiar with and understand the tools provided by those sites that allow you to make choices about how you share the personal data in your social media profile(s). Also, depending on the choices you have made regarding your settings on various social media sites (and/or in combination with your settings on the SCCCC Facebook Group), certain personal data may be shared with us about your online activities and social media profiles (e.g. interests, marital status, gender, user name, photo, comments and content you have posted/shared etc). The SCCCC Facebook Group is controlled so that only paid up members of the club can post comments / photographs etc.

Security

We are committed to ensuring that all of your information including electronic files are kept secure in order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure.

Your Privacy

SCCCC will not release your information to any third Party outside of the Club. Occasionally it is useful to share “contact details only” with other Club members for information regarding Club equipment location and Event information.

How long do we keep hold of your information?

Under normal circumstances, your information would be kept for a maximum of one year after membership ceases unless you request us to remove it immediately. Under unforeseen circumstances i.e. incidents at events, runs etc, your information will be retained as long as we are legally obliged to do so.

Objections to this Privacy Policy

If for any reason, you object to the SCCCC holding your information or to this Privacy Policy then please write to the Chairman of the club (as detailed in the monthly Newsletter) with your objections which will be addressed and responded to.

Changes to this Policy

We may change this policy from time to time by updating this document as required. Any changes made to this policy will be forwarded to all current members. This policy is effective from 1st June 2018.
