Oulton Park Gold Cup, August Bank Holiday 2011

This is the first time the SCCCC has put on a club stand at the Oulton Park Gold Cup, amazing considering how close the circuit is, and that many of our members visit the event in any case.

Weather was a little rough, with some quite frequent showers and plenty of sun in between. Monday was the better day of the two, but it didn't interrupt the racing and the event as a whole.

We had a good stand with ten cars on it over the Sunday and Monday, and had a prime position on the inside of Cascades bend where we could easily see two sections of track from our cars, handy during the showers.

All in all an enjoyable weekend, and we'll certainly be applying for a stand next year.
