Formed in the late 1980s by a group of classic car enthusiasts, the club caters for enthusiasts and owners of any type of classic vehicle, from the very old to quite modern "classics to be".
The club holds regular monthly meetings at the Elephant pub, on Newcastle Road in Shavington (see here for a map). These meetings usually take the form of a "noggin and natter", where members just get together for an evening out. Sometimes we'll hold a quiz, or maybe show a video - members are welcome to bring something appropriate that they think might be interesting. This year we've also been doing some evening road runs to other local gatherings, including the local VSCC meeting and an HRCR event.
Other social events include a popular skittles night, and recently members held a road run to the Mouldsworth Motor Museum. Members are encouraged to suggest (and organise!) social events.
As well as social events, the club attends many local classic car shows, including those at Cholmondely Castle and nearby Nantwich. We also organise a summer show and gathering at the Elephant where members and non-members (or prospective members) can bring their cars and listen to the band and scoff the barbecue.
Joining the club costs only £12, reducing to £10 for renewals. A copy of our membership application can be downloaded from here in Adobe PDF format.
